- NEW RAILWAY STATION: In progress are works for the installation of cable trays at the Forestation tunnel, as well as works for the configuration of the surrounding area at the northern section of the station.
- DIMOKRATIAS Station: Completed are works for the closing of the temporary opening of the roof slab, as well as for the implementation of traffic arrangement M’. In progress are marble cladding works at level -1 and works for the construction of traffic islands at Lagada and Monastiriou streets.
- VENIZELOU Station: In progress is the detachment of antiquities, as well as other detachments in the south access area. Moreover, in progress are works for the construction of retaining piles at the northern access of the station.
- AGHIA SOFIA Station: The works for the construction of a sidewalk and the installation of Municipal lighting at the south section of Egnatia Street have been executed, while in progress are works for the construction of masonry walls at levels -1 and -2, as well as plastering works at level -1.
- SINTRIVANI Station (Station and Crossover): Completed are the electrical connections concerning the escalators and in progress are reinstatement works at street level in the area of the northern access and “Asylo tou Paidiou”, as well as in the area of the south access (Thessaloniki International Fair area). Moreover, in progress are works for the installation of air ducts of the ventilation/air conditioning system of the station, as well as works for the installation of CCU in the technical rooms.
At the Crossover, completed are the construction of the scissors crossover and the installation of the 3rd rail.
- PANEPISTIMIO Station: In progress are works for the installation of FCUs in the technical rooms for batteries and UPS, works for the installation of CCUs in the technical rooms, the construction of the fire fighting network at level -1, the installation of vertical lining made of stainless steel panels in the public areas (level -1), as well as traffic reinstatement works at 3rd Septemvriou & Egnatias streets.
- PAPAFI Station: In progress are works for the construction of the fencing at Papafio Institution, as well as reinstatement works at street level and in the surrounding area of the Church of the Institution.
- EFKLIDIS Station: In progress are works for the installation of power supply cables, as well as works for the configuration and reinstatement of the surrounding area.
- FLEMING Station: In progress are works for the electrical connection of escalators, as well as works for the installation of lighting cables in the technical rooms.
- ANALISPI Station: The works for the construction of the manhole connecting the water supply and the fire fighting networks of the station with EYATH at street-level have been completed. In progress are works for the installation of the fire fighting network at level -1. Moreover, the stand-alone SAT tests concerning the exterior escalators have been completed.
- 25 MARTIOU Station: In progress are works for the installation of lighting cables, vertical cladding works using granite slabs in public areas and traffic reinstatement works at the surface level (Solonos street).
- VOULGARI Station: In progress are works for the installation of trays and earthing at level -1, as well as works for the installation of the fire detection system.
DEPOT
- Building Complex Ι: In progress are works for the construction of an elevated floor at building 8, the installation of telecommunication cables at level +69.00, as well as works for the installation of air conditioning and lighting networks at +69.00.
- Building Complex ΙI: In progress are building works at levels +53.00 and +58.00, works for the installation of a false-ceiling in the Operation Control Centre, the construction of an elevated floor at level +58.00, the installation of the air conditioning network at level +66.40, of the compressed air network at level +47.50 and works for the installation of the intrusion detection system at level +53.00.
In the surrounding area, the works for the assembly of the metal structure of the foul water network have been completed, while works for the construction of E/M networks at the local roads in the Depot area are in progress.
- TRACKWORK: In progress are works for the installation of trackwork at the west part of the Project and, more specifically, distribution of sleepers, assembling of tracks and thermal aluminum welding, between AGHIA SOFIA and DIMOKRATIAS Stations.
- TESTING AND COMMISSIONING WORKS:
On 12/07/2021, the traction power network was activated at the east part of the Project, between SINTRIVANI Station and the Depot, while on 14/07/2021, train dynamic tests have commenced at the subject section.
- Power Supply System: All in-house partially stand-alone tests of the subsystem have been completed in all stations, from SINTRIVANI Station to the Depot.
- Traction Power Supply System: The in-house partially stand-alone tests of the subsystem have been completed in all stations equipped with Traction Power Supply Substation, from SINTRIVANI Station to the Depot, at the entire equipment of the Traction subsystem, except for the Transformers.The commissioning of all traction substations and the activation of the part of the Project from the Depot to PANEPISTIMIO Station has been successfully implemented.Moreover, the interface tests with the PRCS system have commenced at the Depot and the traction substation of SINTRIVANI Station.
- 3rd Rail System: The in-house partially stand-alone tests of the subsystem have been completed at the entire tunnel section from SINTRIVANI station up to the Depot. Successful power supply of the 3rd rail system from Pylea Depot to PANEPISTIMIO Station.
- Telecommunications System: The in-house partially stand-alone tests of the Information Digital Transmission subsystem have been completed in all stations, from SINTRIVANI Station to the Depot, so that there is a network available. The in-house tests with the other subsystems continue, such as the Radio and DCS systems.
- Radio System: The in-house partially stand-alone tests of the subject subsystem have been completed in all stations, from SINTRIVANI Station to the Depot, so that there is a network available. Commencement of interface tests with the DCS and TLC subsystems.
- DCS System: The in-house partially stand-alone tests of the subject subsystem have been completed in all stations, from SINTRIVANI Station to the Depot, as well as in the relevant tunnel section, so that there is a network available. Commencement of interface tests with the Signaling, Radio and TLC subsystems. Commencement of radio coverage dynamic tests in the entire line, from the Depot up to PANEPISTIMIO Station. Commencement of dynamic interface tests with the Signalling subsystem (CBTC).
- Platform Screen Doors (PSD): Commencement of in-house partially stand-alone tests of the subject subsystem at SINTRIVANI Station.
- PRCS System (Traction Power Remote Control System): Commencement of in-house partially stand-alone tests and interface tests with the Traction power subsystem at Pylea Depot and the rectifier Substation of SINTRIVANI Station.
- Signalling System: The in-house partially stand-alone tests of the subject subsystem have been completed in all stations, from SINTRIVANI Station up to NEA ELVETIA Station, as well as in the relevant tunnel section, except for SINTRIVANI double crossover. The in-house dynamic tests continue at Pylea Depot and the preparatory works have commenced for the execution of the dynamic tests in the tunnel (radio coverage and balise identification/ acknowledgement tests). The in-house interface tests with the other subsystems continue in the Depot area.
- Rolling Stock: The dynamic acceleration and braking tests in a line section are in progress.
- Depot equipment: Commencement and completion of in-house and official tests concerning the following equipment:

- System Integration Tests (SIT): The gauge test has been executed at Pylea Depot (SIT-DPT-1) and at the line section from the Depot up to PANEPISTIMIO Station (SIT-ML-1).
