The supplementary contract for the implementation of the works related to the accessibility of pedestrians and vehicles in NEA ELVETIA Metro Station and the creation of a modern transportation hub to facilitate transportation in the wider area of the station in question was concluded in the city of Thessaloniki.
The contract was signed by the CEO and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of ELLINIKO METRO S.A. Mr. Nikolaos Kouretas and by the legal representative of the Contracting Joint Venture AIASA, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of AKTOR Mr. Alexandros Exarchou in the presence of Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Mr. Christos Staikouras, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation in charge of Infrastructure Mr. Nikolaos Tachiaos, the Regional Vice Governor responsible for Infrastructure and Networks of the Region of Central Macedonia Mr. Paris Billias and the Mayor of Thessaloniki Mr. Stelios Angeloudis.
The contract provides for the construction of the un-built section of Michail Psellou Street, approximately 500m. long, the reconfiguration of the junctions of either side of the street for its connection with the remaining central road network and the creation of a modern Transfer Station.
The budget of the project amounts to 10.47 million EURO plus VAT and shall be completed concurrently with the revenue service of the Thessaloniki Metro.
