A meeting whose subject was Thessaloniki Metro and the acceleration of the construction works was held today, Friday, August 3, at the Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructures, Transport and Networks.
This meeting was attended by Mr. Stavros Kalogiannis, Deputy Minister of Development and Infrastructures, Mr.Stavors Simopoulos Secretary General for Public Works, Ms. Lina Mendoni Secretary General for Culture, Ms.Evgenia Geroussi Byzantine Antiquities Director, Mr. Christos Tsitouras Chairman and Managing Director of ATTIKO METRO S.A., and Mr. Giorgos Konstantinides Manager of Thessaloniki Metro.
During this meeting, various solutions were decided as regards the acceleration of the archaeological works.
Moreover, all issues concerning the project’s delays were analyzed in detail and all possible solutions for the acceleration of the construction works as well as for the resolution of the problems faced by residents and traders/professionals in the worksite areas were examined.
Especially as regards the vicinity of ANALIPSI Station, it was decided to immediately reduce the worksite occupation area.
