ATTIKO METRO S.A., having being vindicated before the State Council, proceeded to the unsealing of the Financial Offers concerning the extension of Metro Line 3 to Piraeus, whose budget reaches the amount of EURO 515 million, and the result of the bidding procedure was recently approved by ATTIKO METRO S.A. Board of Directors.
The classification order of the three bidding joint ventures, based on their Financial Offer, is as follows:

Based on the aforementioned Tender results, J&P – ΑVΑX ΑΕ – GHELLA SPA – ALSTOM TRANSPORT SA is the provisional lowest-bidder for the subject Project.
ATTIKO METRO S.A. has already forwarded the envelope of the tender to the Court of Auditors and it is anticipated that the works for the construction of the Metro extension to Piraeus will commence by the end of this year.
The extension Aghia Marina – Piraeus, 7.6km long, with 6 modern stations, shall connect the major Greek Port with “ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS” International Airport; moreover, it is anticipated to serve 135,000 passengers on a daily basis. The extension to Piraeus is foreseen to be commissioned within a time period of 60 months upon signing of the project contract.
