In the framework of upgrading the ATHENS METRO System, theinstallation of a complete air-conditioning system in the remaining 14 out of the 21 second generation trains of the network, of a budget of 5,500,000€, was completed.
The project was recently completed with the installation of 168 modern air-conditioning units (12 units per train) and, today, before Summer, all 21 second generation Trains, apart from comfortable, reliable and fast transfers, offer the best possible temperature conditions for all passengers.
It is stressed that all provisions have been made, so that all 17 new third generation Metro trains, whose tendering process is currently in progress, be equipped with a modern air-conditioning system right from the beginning.
