In the framework of the construction of Dimokratias Station and the Metro Line Turnout to Stavroupolis, the worksite occupation on Monastiriou Street, stretching from Dimokratias Square up to Michael Kalou Street, is relocated to the north side of the street, as of Sunday, August 31 and for a period of eight months.
Monastiriou Street shall continue to have two traffic lanes per direction, while the following traffic arrangements shall be implemented:
- Prometheous and Odysseos Streets become dead-end streets, on their part between Monastiriou Street and Afroditis Street.Vehicular traffic at that location shall be channeled to Monastiriou, Tandalou, Afroditis, Vakhou, M. Kalou and other streets in the vicinity.
- The traffic direction is reversed:
- on Afroditis and Vakhou Streets, at their section between Langada street and Tantalou Street.
- on Tandalou street, at its section between Monastiriou street and Afroditis street.
- Stopping and parking of all vehicles is prohibited:
- on both sides of Tandalou street, between Monastiriou and Afroditis streets.
- on the right-hand side (as per the traffic flow) ofAfroditis street, at its section between Langada and Tandalou streets.
