The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of PEHODE issued the following announcement:
Upon completion of the relevant tender, the contract between ATTIKO METRO S.A. and the technical company KAPETANIDIS S.A. was concluded today with regard to the construction of an underground 5-floor car park facility with a capacity of 285 vehicles, at a distance of about 300 metres from KERAMIKOS Station at Metro Line 3.
The 5-floor underground car park will be constructed at Iera Odos & Pireos Str. (see relevant map) and it is provided for to serve the needs of the private vehicle drivers who wish to transfer to the Metro network.
This project includes the re-development of the surface area (with a total surface of 9,000 m2) in order to create another green area in the heart of the historical Athens. The project will cost 7,3 million euros and it is provided to be completed in two (2) years.
