SECTION II: SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
DESCRIPTION
The title of the Contract is “GEOLOGICAL, GEOPHYSICAL AND GEOTECHNICAL SURVEYS AND DESIGNS FOR “ANTHOUPOLI – ILION” SECTION FOR ATHENS METRO LINE 2 EXTENSION.
Location for the provision of services: ATTICA REGION – GREECE.
Category of Services: no. 12 (Annex XVIIA, Directive 2004/17/EC).
This contract notice concerns the award of a framework agreement and the subsequent conclusion of maximum four individual contracts for the preparation of designs with the nominated contractor.
The scope of the contract includes the preparation of geological, geophysical and geotechnical surveys and designs for “ANTHOUPOLI – ILION” section for Athens Metro Line 2 Extension and more precisely:
(a) Anthoupoli Area: At the section of the alignment passing through the area of Anthoupoli there might be galleries and shafts of Peristeri old lignite mines; therefore, the preparation of surveys to determine the alignment is required, in order to eliminate or minimize the influence of any possible galleries and shafts during the construction and operation of the said extension, in view of ensuring the project’s constructibility. The following works will be executed: a) drilling works with geological and geotechnical field works, laboratory tests at certain of the aforementioned drillings, as well as presentation of the results of the aforementioned surveys and b) geophysical surveys with the subsequent geophysical reports.
(b) Anthoupoli – Ilion: As soon as the alignment to arise further to the completion of the surveys described in (a) above is defined, the following works shall be executed in the total of the alignment: a) geological surveys and geological design and b) geotechnical surveys including the execution of drillings with geological and geotechnical field works and laboratory tests, as well as scheduling of surveys, presentation of the relevant results and evaluation of the total of the geotechnical surveys.
The contract is covered by the agreement on public contracts, it is not phased and alternative offers will not be taken into consideration.
