ATTIKO METRO S.A., Project Owner for the Construction of Athens and Thessaloniki Metro Projects (L 1955/91, L 3202/03), announces a tender for the selection of the lowest bidder and the appointment of the Contractor for the award of the transport of bulky waste from an area which came to AM’s ownership (next to the Refuse Transfer Station of Thessaloniki Municipality where Thessaloniki Metro Pylea Depot will be constructed), the management – processing thereof in special facilities and the final disposal of waste remains at Mavrorachi landfill site.
ATTIKO METRO S.A. (191-193 Messogeion Avenue, 115 25, Athens/Greece) is the Awarding Authority and Employer Company of the Contract to be compiled.
This tender is conducted based on the open procedure further to the publication of this summary in the Greek press and the website of ATTIKO METRO S.A., as per Resolution 1155(c)/22.03.2012 of the company’s Board of Directors and the detailed stipulations of the documents entitled “Invitation to Tender” and “Conditions of Contract”.

Eligible to participate in this Tender are physical and legal entities, as well as Joint Ventures/ Consortia of physical or legal entities exercising this particular activity, holding the relevant valid permits (Transport, Management of Bulky Waste) (European Waste Codes (EWC): 20 03 07, 20 02) and meeting the following requirements:
- private-owned companies or companies lawfully established and operating according to the Greek legislation or established and operating according to the legislation of a member state of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA) with their central management offices or main premises or registered office in the EU or EEA, provided that their activities are essentially and continuously related with the economy of the EU or EEA member state.
- Joint Ventures or Consortia between private-owned companies or companies as stated in case (a) above.
The award criterion is the lowest price (discount percentage in whole numbers on a per cent basis, on the price per work unit).
The total pre-estimated fee amounts to one hundred and sixty two thousand five hundred euro (€ 162,500.00), VAT excluded.
The offer of the bidders must be accompanied by a Participation Letter of Guarantee for an amount equal to 5% of the pre-estimated cost, i.e. € 8,125.00.
The deadline for the submission of the offers is Wednesday April 11th, 2012 at 11:00.
