BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
The scope of this Contract is the Supply of seventeen (17) New Trains which shall be put into Service in Metro Line 2 (“Anthoupoli-Elliniko” Section) as well as in Metro Line 3 (“D. Plakentias-Dimotiko Theatro” Section). The scope of the Supply includes:
The preparation of the design;
The manufacturing, supply, testing and commissioning of seventeen (17) 6-car trains of a nominal operating voltage of 750 Vdc;
The supply of the capital spare parts of the trains, the special tools, the diagnostic testing equipment and models, as these are determined in the Contract;
The three-year good performance guarantee of the trains and the supply of the capital spare parts and consumables falling within the warranty period that are required for this period;
The preparation and submission of the relevant documentation, as well as the operation and maintenance manuals and the illustrated parts lists.
The training of AM and ATTIKO METRO Operations Company (AMEL) personnel.
The scope of this Supply shall not include the on-board train equipment of the Automatic Train Control (ATC) System. This system shall be the scope of another Contract that AM will conclude with an independent Supplier and shall be compatible with the existing ATC System of the Athens Metro.
The Contractor shall be responsible for the interconnection works and for any necessary works related to the on-board train equipment of the ATC System, in accordance with the stipulations of Chapter 14.0 of the Document entitled “Performance Specifications”.
