Οn February 27th 2013, the Onassis Foundation announced the winner of the “Re-think Athens” European Architectural Competition for the creation of a new city centre, during an event that took place at the Onassis Cultural Centre. The Competition was funded by the Onassis Foundation and was organized under the auspices and in collaboration with the Ministries of Environment, Energy & Climate Change and of Development, Infrastructure, Transport & Networks, the Attiko Metro S.A., the Region of Attica and the Municipality of Athens.
Α total of seventy one (71) entries were evaluated out of which nine (9) were short-listed.
The Jury of the second stage of the Competition (Preliminary Drawings Competition) awarded two (2) Prizes, two (2) Special Mentions and one (1) Commendation.
The FIRST PRIZE was awarded to the entry by:
